Virender Sehwag congratulates Mohammad Kaif on completing 10,000 first-class runs

New Delhi: Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag, who has now become a full flegded pundit, praised Mohammad Kaif on completing 10,000 runs in first-class cricket.

Kaif, 35, completed his 10,000 first-class runs on Thursday in Ranji Trophy 2016-17 against Tripura, when he scored 27 runs in the 1st innings. The former India batsman is leading Chattisgarh team in their first Ranji Trophy campaign.

On Sunday, Sehwag took to micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate Kaif's new feat in his typical way. He wrote that, "Congrats @MohammadKaif ji,on 10,000 first-class runs. 9000 to Daud Daud ke hi bhaage honge. Is pakdam pakdai ur 2nd fav sport? #MehnatiBatsman".

To this Sehwag tweeted:

Mohammad Kaif not being too far from trolling the 'Troll King', he tweeted back to Sehwag in the same style.

Originally from Allahabad, the experienced player is turning up for another team other than the Uttar Pradesh team as he continues to seek relevance in Indian cricket.

Kaif joined Indian National Congress and contested 2014 Loksabha election from Phulpur in Uttar Pradesh, and lost to Keshav Prasad Maurya of Bharatiya Janata Party.

Post retirement, Sehwag has become the voice of Indian cricket with his intelligent and yet entertaining tweets and commentary. He is currently occupied with hindi commentary team in the ongoing India-New Zealand series.
