Original fixer to dalal ji: Lalit Modi slams Anurag Thakur, Rajiv Shukla as BCCI faces Supreme Court ire

New Delhi: Even as BCCI top brass were given 24 hours to adopt the Lodha Committee recommendations, former IPL chairman Lalit Modi went hyperactive on Twitter slamming Anurag Takhur and Rajiv Shukla.

Modi, who is London since 2010, posted a series of tweets even as the Indian cricket board continued to face the ire from Supreme Court following its reluctance to adopt the recommendations made the Lodha Committee.

During a hearing today. the apex court had slammed the BCCI for its "defiant attitude," and said it will pass an order tomorrow to make the cash-rich board "fall in line" to adopt committee's directions.

Taking the opportunity, Modi said that only way to clean up cricket governance is by doing what the Lodha Committee has suggested.

He then wrote that as Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) accept the recommendations made by the committee.

The RCA remains suspended by BCCI ever since Modi was elected as the president with multiple efforts to overturn it have been futile so far.

He equated BCCI president Thakur to disgraced former board boss N Srinivasan, and said the BJP MP is the original fixer.

He then attacked Rjiv Shukla as the original crook, and said "your time has come #dalal Ji"

The apex court asked the BCCI to submit an undertaking that it will "unconditionally" implement all the court-approved recommendations of the Lodha Committee by October 7, failling which, its office bearers could be replaced with a panel of administrators.
