Mithali Raj, world's leading ODI run-scorer in women’s cricket, turns 36

The 36-year-old is also India's leading run-scorer in T20Is, having accumulated 2283 runs, with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli trailing her at 2207 and 2102 runs respectively.

Indian opener Mithali Raj who is the leading batswoman in the ODI format of the game, having accumulated 6550 runs at an average of 51.17, celebrated her 36th birthday on Monday.  

The 36-year-old is also India's leading run-scorer in T20Is, having scored 2283 runs, with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli trailing her at 2207 and 2102 runs respectively.   

Not only this, Raj is also the fastest Indian woman cricketer to cross the 1,000 run landmark in T20Is. 

On the occasion, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), International Cricket Council (ICC), fellow cricketers, took to Twitter to express their love and good wishes for the legendary player. 

The 36-year-old has been in brilliant form recently, with match-winning performances for India during the ICC Women's World T20 2018 in West Indies.
