Mumbai Indians have put on a completely dominant performance, making a spectacular start in the WPL. This achievement would have been beyond their wildest dreams, leaving them absolutely overjoyed! Unfortunately, it has been a nightmare for the Gujarat Giants. After losing the toss and being put into bat, Mumbai Indians ticked off most of the boxes with impressive performances from Sciver-Brunt, Matthews, Harmanpreet, and Kerr. Their score of above 200 put immense pressure on Gujarat, causing them to crumble. Adding to their misery, Mooney's injury in the first over left them already struggling. They lost 4 wickets within the powerplay, further pushing them back, from which they couldn't recover. Only two batters managed to score in double digits, telling the story of their defeat. The star of the match for Mumbai was Saika Ishaque with her impressive 4-fer.

We wanted to get above 160-180, so happy with the score, time for the bowlers to go out there and do the job. Not really (when asked if there was any dew), we have some good plans as a spinner, need to be accurate and keep the run-rate going up.
