India vs New Zealand, 2nd T20I: As it happened

With the win, India--who won the opening T20I against New Zealand by six wickets--taken a 2-0 lead in the series.

After India produced a decent performance with the bowl, opener KL Rahul smashed an unbeaten half-century to help India clinch a seven-wicket win over New Zealand in the second T20I of the five-match series at Eden Gardens in Auckland on Sunday.

Chasing a target of 133 runs to win, India lost opener Rohit Sharma (8) and skipper Virat Kohli (11) cheaply. Rohit's opening partner KL Rahul then hammered his 11th T20I fifty besides sharing a crucial 86-run stand with Iyer (44) to help the Men in Blue cross the mark with 15 balls to spare. 

Earlier, Ravindra Jadeja bagged two wickets while Shivam Dube, Jasprit Bumrah and Shardul Thakur all chipped in with a wicket each as India restricted New Zealand to a score of 132 for five in their stipulated 20 overs.

For New Zealand, Martin Guptill and Tim Seifert were the highest scorers with 33 runs each.

With the win, India--who won the opening T20I against New Zealand by six wickets--taken a 2-0 lead in the series.
