It was a rain-curtailed match but South Africa were the better side and India have a lot to do to level the series. Proteas won by 5 wickets to take 1-0 series lead in Gqeberha. The campaign now moves to Johannesburg as India aim to bounce back.

Surya: At the halfway stage, I thought it was a par score but they batted beautifully in the first 5-6 overs and took the game away from us. It was the brand of cricket we were talking about, just go out and express ourselves.
