New Delhi: Veteran Indian left-hander Yuvraj Singh made an impressive start to the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) by scoring a quick-fire half-century in the opening match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Yuvraj, who played for RCB in 2015, showed once again why is he regarded as one of the most dangerous batsmen in shorter formats by hammering 62 runs off just 27 balls.

The left-hander was in brutal mood and punished RCB debutant Aniket Chaudhary in particular, whom he tonked all over the park.

In Aniket's third over, Yuvraj hit two boundaries and a six and was dropped off the last ball by Sreenath Aravind at deep square leg.

Watch Yuvraj's powerful hits from that over:

Yuvraj's knock finally came to an end when he was bowled by RCB's new signing Tymal Mills in the 19th over of the innings.
