New Delhi: The Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has taken possibly the greatest catch of the Indian Premier League 2017 season on Saturday at Delhi.
It happened in the eighth over of the Delhi Daredevils innings, bowled by Karn Sharma. West Indian Marlon Samuels faced the leg-spinner in the fourth ball of the over, and a thick outside edge flew off the bat. At first slip, Rohit threw himself to his right and plucked one out of thin air.

Earlier in the tournament, Rohit took a blinder to dismiss Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman AB de Villiers.

Put into bat by Delhi captain Zaheer Khan, Mumbai rode on the brilliance of two West Indians — Lendl Simmons 66 (43) and Kieron Pollard 63 (35) — to post a huge total of 212/3.
Then, Mumbai bowlers toyed with Delhi batsmen and dismissed the home side for 66 to register a thumping 146-run win. The visitors thus became the first team to book a play-off spot this season.
