New Delhi: Kings XI Punjab opening batsman Hashim Amla incurred another disappointing evening with the bat, yet won many hearts for his fair play and sportsmanship in the IPL match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The South African, facing a delivery from Aniket Choudhary, gave the faintest of edges as the ball went directly into the gloves of wicket-keeper Kedar Jadhav.

What was surprising to see is that neither the bowler or the wicket-keeper appealed for a caught behind, but Amla, opted to walk off despite no signal from the umpire as a mark of true sportsmanship and fairplay. (IPL 2017 - Points Table | Full Coverage)
