New Delhi: With Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers out of action, Royal Challengers Bangalore needed Chris Gayle to fire all cylinders on Saturday to avoid successive defeats in 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL).
But the big hitting West Indian legend was undone by a stunning catch from Sanju Samson in their IPL match against Delhi Daredevils.
It happened off the second ball of the fourth over, bowled by Chris Morris. A quick full toss from the South African all-rounder surprised Gayle, and he could only splice the ball, high in the air.
Samson, fielding at mid-off, chased the ball and took the leap to complete the catch. Here's the video.
It was the third time that Morris got Gayle's wicket in six innings. Gayle made 6 off 8 balls, with a four.
