Mustafizur Rahman to leave Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 25 to begin Champions Trophy preparations – Report

New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad star Mustafizur looks likely to leave the IPL franchise in middle of the Indian Premier League 2017 season and join his Bangladesh teammates for a preparatory camp for the ICC Champions Trophy in Sussex. (IPL 10 - Schedule | Points Table)

As per a report on ESPNCricinfo, Mustafizur Rahman will return to Bangladesh on April 25 and join his team-mates Sussex camp and Ireland tri-series. Subsequently, he will be joined by Kolkata Knight Riders' Shakib Al Hasan on May 4.

Rehman has played only one game in the IPL this season, after arriving late following Bangaldesh's series in Sri Lanka. He might not have been able to leave his mark in the IPL 10, but last season, he was instrumental in leading the Sunrisers to the title as he picked up 16 wickets from 17 games at an economy rate of 6.90.

His change of pace and ability to vary deliveries make him one of the most effective bowlers in the shortest format of the game.

The Sunrisers are next scheduled to play Rising Pune Supergiant at the MCA stadium in Pune on April 22, after which, they will fly to Bangalore to play the Royal Challengers Bangalore for a match on April 25th. Fizz might just be able to grab a spot in the playing XI for Hyderabad's fixture against Pune but he will surely be out from the Bengaluru clash onwards.

Bangladesh, meanwhile, begin their Champions Trophy campaign against hosts England on June 1st, before taking on Australia and New Zealand on June 5 and June 9, respectively.
