The tenth and final edition of the Indian Premier League in current contract, kicks-off on April 5, 2017 with opening match featuring hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore in Hyderabad.

New Delhi: The tenth and final edition of the Indian Premier League in current contract, kicks-off on April 5, 2017 with opening match featuring hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore in Hyderabad.

Schedule:-

In total, 60 matches will be played over the course of 47 days featuring eight IPL teams, same as the previous season.

  • The final match of the season will be played on 21st May, also in Hyderabad.
  • Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium will host the Qualifier 1 on May 16.
  • Bangalore will host two knockout matches -- the Eliminator on May 17 and the Qualifier 2 on May 19.

Telecast & Live Streaming:-

Sony Six, Sony Max and Sony ESPN will broadcast live matches for the fans in India while live streaming of the matches will be available on Sony LIV app and website www.sonyliv.com.

Opening ceremony:-

This year, the organisers have decided to host 8 opening ceremonies – one each for every franchise - with Amy Jackson, Shraddha Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Tiger Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh and other Bollywood celebrities expected to perform at respective venues.


Hyderabad (April 5): Sunrisers Hyderabad v Royal Challengers Bangalore

  • Amy Jackson will perform at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Pune (April 6): Rising Pune Supergiants v Mumbai Indians

  • Riteish Deshmukh will perform at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

Rajkot (April 7): Gujarat Lions v Kolkata Knight Riders

  • Tiger Shroff will perform at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

Indore (April 8): Kings XI Punjab v Rising Pune Supergiants

  • Yet to be confirmed for the match at Holkar Cricket Stadium.

Bangalore (April 8): Royal Challengers Bangalore v Delhi Daredevils

  • Yet to be confirmed for the match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Mumbai (April 9): Mumbai Indians v Kolkata Knight Riders

  • Yet to be confirmed for match at Wankhede Stadium.

Kolkata (April 13): Kolkata Knight Riders v Kings XI Punjab

  • Shraddha Kapoor and Monali Thakur will perform at Eden Gardens.

New Delhi (April 15): Delhi Daredevils v Kings XI Punjab

  • Parineeti Chopra will perform at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground.
