Mumbai: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) could be all but out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 playoffs race but skipper Virat Kohli was hoping to make the most of remaining matches and finish as high on the points table as possible. For him personally, it was yet another disappointing outing against Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians after the RCB captain fell to a Mitchell McClenaghan slower delivery, having put just 20 runs on board.

McClenaghan deceived Kohli by taking pace off the ball and as the latter tried to guide the ball through on side, Rohit Sharma was well placed at mid-wicket and his hands hardly make mistakes, especially when a wicket as big as this is at stake. (MI vs RCB - Live Blog | Full Coverage)

The 28-year-old Kohli looked upset with himself, having thrown away his wicket for cheap yet again this IPL season.

The New Zealander McClenaghan, however, was elated with Kohli's dismissal, following up with a wild celebration.

Having won the toss, RCB elected to bat against MI at the Wankhede Stadium here on Monday.

Already out of the race for the play-offs, RCB made three changes to their playing XI with Shane Watson, Mandeep Singh and Aniket Choudhary replacing the trio of Samuel Badree, Sachin Baby and Stuart Binny.

On the other hand, the hosts made just one change with Karn Sharma replacing veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who was ruled out due to an injury.
