Brilliant leg side pressing yorker to follow and Kaul makes it 17 off 3 now. Matthews still on strike and...another leg side ball, little wide and it flies straight to the keeper. And then the Sri Lankan international depart while going for the big one. Chris Jordan there at long-on to take it.

Over 18 | Score 158/4 | Matthews 21 (16) ; Iyer 43 (26)

18 deliveries more to go and 47 runs required more. Seems to be well over difficult now. Matthews need to start cracking now and he does. Off the first delivery, gets a boundary. From the four deliveries, eight runs has been picked up. Single off the next ball as Siddharth Kaul, the bowler makes a good comeback after that boundary off the very first ball. But ends with a boundary.

Over 17 | Score 145/4 | Matthews 13 (12) ; Iyer 38 (24)

Purple cap holder Bhuvneshwar Kumar returns to attack for his third over now. Fourth delivery, Iyer anticipates the well wide off ball, but gets only a touch off the lower edge, flies little wide behind the bowler, no one there to take it and is saved. Six already off the five deliveries bowled. After a chat with Warner, comes for the last ball. Flatter to the leg and Iyer makes ample space to cheekily slice it over short third man for a four.

Over 16 | Score 135/4 | Matthews 10 (10) ; Iyer 32 (21)

Henriques into the attack now. His third over for the day. Asking rate over 13 now and Delhi need more of those six and boundaries now to keep hope alive. Third ball, outside the off and Mathews plays a cheeky shot, scooping the ball over square-leg to get a boundary.

Over 15 | Score 127/4 | Matthews 3 (5) ; Iyer 31 (19)

Rashid Khan up for his last over now and off the second delivery Iyer powers a six down the line. That was big and dismissed it into the crowd. And then again off the fourth delivery, slogging it over midwicket to get that second six off the over.

Over 14 | Score 110/4 | Matthews 1 (3) ; Iyer 18 (15)

87 off 42 deliveries with asking run rate well over 12 now. Two hard blows and all is in a dicey position for the Daredevils. And their misery continues as Samson departs now. Delhi in complete disarray.

SV Samson c Henriques b Mohammed Siraj 42 (33b)

Angelo Matthews is the new man in now. Just one run off the five deliveries bowled. Last one goes for a four. Short and Iyer leaves the stumps early to cut it over point to get a four.

Over 13 | Score 105/3 | Samson 41 (32) ; Iyer 14 (14)

Moises Henriques back for his third over and is struck for a four off the first delivery. Shorter and a quicker one to the off and Iyer elegantly drifts it past the keeper for a four. Nine already off five deliveries and the last one goes for a single from Iyer. Strategic time-out

Over 12 | Score 95/3 | Samson 40 (30) ; Iyer 4 (8)

Rashid back for his third over now. Slows down the rate again as Delhi struggle to settle down after to real hard blows to there score sheet. Just five off the over.

Over 10 | Score 87/3 | Samson 37 (26) ; Iyer 0 (0)

And after all the strategy making it is Yuvraj Singh introduced into the attack now. Punished in the very first ball. Samson cuts the outside turning ball real hard down cover for a boundary. And then Karun Nair departs for a run out. Silly indeed!

KK Nair run out 33 (23b)

And it is Rishabh Pant at the crease now only to depart off the very first ball. Slogs it hard over to long-off, a typical Pant stroke and Warner there to take it. In formidable form and he departs so early in the game. Horrfying for the Delhi fans present there and for the team as well.

RR Pant c Warner b Yuvraj Singh 0 (1b)

Over 9 | Score 80/1 | Samson 31 (22) ; Nair 33 (23)

Over 8 | Score 75/1 | Samson 28 (18) ; Nair 31 (21)

Moises Henriques has been introduces into the attack now by David Warner. Despite what they have done so far, Delhi have to maintain the form to stay in the chase. The total is indeed massive.

Third ball, fuller to the leg and a leg glance by Samson to get a boundary past fine leg. Last ball, straight, along the middle line and Karun makes himself ample room to elegantly volley it over long-off for a six.

Over 7 | Score 61/1 | Samson 22 (15) ; Nair 24 (18)

A rather good start for the Daredevils, at least comaparitively better than what the Sunrisers were at this stage. Siraj up for his third over now. Four runs off the five deliveries bowled and the last one is a single.

Over 6 | Score 56/1 | Samson 18 (12) ; Nair 23 (15)

Last over of power-play and Rashid up for it. Gives away nine runs.

Over 5 || Score 47/1 - Sanju Samson 14(8b); Karun Nair 19(13b)

Mohammed Siraj, the left-arm pacer, returned for his second over. And Sanju Samson laced on it, flicking over long-on for a six. His second six. It was followed by a single, rotating the strike.

Karun Nair then played a sumptuous cover drive for a four. A dot ball, another one as Siraj responded well. The second was a well directed bouncer, which Nair tried to ramp, but...

The over ended with another four, played vigorously by Nair from his back-foot against the rising ball, and the ballooning ball just got enough pace to beat fielder at fine-leg.

15 runs from it, and Delhi still need another 145 runs , at just 10 an over.

Over 4 || Score 32/1 - Sanju Samson 7(6b); Karun Nair 11(9b)

Bowling change for Hyderabad. Siddarth Kaul, the right-arm medium pacer, on. A single to Karun Nair, then Sanju Samson hit the second ball for a six. Over mid-on, and in the stands. That's his first runs.

A single followed, then three dot balls to make it a eight-run over.

Over 3 || Score 24/1 - Sanju Samson 0(4b); Karun Nair 10(5b)

Bhuvi continued with his second over. A dot to Karun Nair, then two fours. Nair find the gap between cover and point, and the ball raced away. It was followed another brilliant placement, this time through the poina area. A single, then Sanju Samson ate up the remaining deliveries.

Nine runs from the over, and Delhi still need another 168 runs from 17 overs.

Over 2 || Score 15/1 - Sanju Samson 0(2b); Karun Nair 1(1b)

Then, Sam Billings responded in style, but it proved a fleeting show. The Delhi opener hit youngster Mohammed Siraj for back-to-back fours to give a rude welcome, then a dot ball later, another four.

But Siraj had the last laugh.

WICKET: Sam Billings c Deepak Hooda b Mohammed Siraj 13 (9b)

That happened off the fifth ball, caught at mid-wicket by Deepak Hooda. First wicket on debut.

New man Karun Nair took a single to the end over. 13 runs from it.

Over 1 || Score 2/0 - Sanju Samson 0(2b); Sam Billings  1(4b)

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the leading wicket-taker of the season so far, resumed the proceedings. A dot ball to Sanju Samson, the only player to hit a hundred this season. A leg bye, then two dot balls to Sam Billings, then another one, this one the ball taking devilish swerve.

A single to end the over. Good start for the defending champions. Only two runs from it.

KS Williamson c Iyer b Morris 89 (51b)

Yuvraj Singh is the man now at crease. Second delivery, pressing to the leg and Dhawan ramps it over square-leg to get a boundary. Last ball, well off as Dhawan was moving the other side. Gets the touch as the ball whistled off the upper edge to the boundary past keeper.

Over 16 | Score 148/1 | Kane 89 (49) ; Dhawan 51 (41)

Over 15 | Score 135/1 | Kane 77 (45) ; Dhawan 50 (40)

Zaheer up for his third over. Probably thinking that he can stop this lethal partnership, but none goes as his plan as the duo continue with their rampage. Second delivery and Kane strikes it down square-leg to get a four. Dhawan too gets his fifty with a single.

Over 14 | Score 127/1 | Kane 71 (43) ; Dhawan 48 (37)

An impressive, impressive stand by the duo at pitch. Amit Mishra into the attack and Kane hits not one, but two massive sixes nullifying his googlies. A total of 19 runs have been racked up in this over, turning it to be a rather highlight of their impressive partnership. Strategic time-out

Over 13 | Score 108/1 | Kane 57 (38) ; Dhawan 43 (35)

And it is Pat Cummins into his fourth and final over. Two singles off the two first balls and 100 up for the Sunrisers. Over 12 | Score 98/1 | Kane 50 (33) ; Dhawan 41 (33)

Mishra comes up for his second over now as Sunrisers are slowly and silently building up a momentum at their home ground. Returning from a slow start, the two batsmen have indeed laid a great foundation. DD need to strike back again to shift momentum. Singles off every ball...two off the last as Kane brings up his second IPL fifty.

Over 11 | Score 91/1 | Kane 46 (30) ; Dhawan 38 (30)

And it is Pat Cummins up for his third over now. Starts off with a slower delivery and Dhawan pulls it down square-leg for a single. Fourth delivery, paced short to the off and Kane ravishingly ramps it over the midwicket area for a six. Eleven off the over.

Over 10 | Score 80/1 | Kane 37 (26) ; Dhawan 37 (28)

Mishra is being introduced now. Zaheer hopes that some leg-spin action might break this important partnership that is slowly building up. Four runs scooped up off the first three deliveries bowled. Seven in total.

Over 9 | Score 73/1 | Kane 34 (24) ; Dhawan 33 (24)

And Zaheer comes up for his second over now. Is putting all his experience into use as only four runs have been scored off the four deliveries bowled till now. Phenomenal when you see that he has been out of action for a long, long time and then comes to bowl with such impressiveness.

Last ball, Kane gets a boundary. Short, outside off and he puts it over short fine-leg for a four.

Over 8 | Score 64/1 | Kane 28 (21) ; Dhawan 30 (21)

Pat Cummins up for his second over now. Four runs off the first half off the over, with all coming from singles. Just the second delivery, from a risky two. Third delivery, quicker bouncer, to the leg side and Dhawan pulls it back putting it well wide of the keeper, goes to the boundary. Did have good line and length, but then that was the disadvantage of a paced up delivery.

Over 7 | Score 55/1 | Kane 25 (18) ; Dhawan 24 (18)

Angelo Matthews comes into the attack now. Sunrisers are off to an indeed slow start, given their key hitter Warner is off the pitch now. But Kane and Dhawan has the ability to do the damage, Then Yuvraj comes in too. Just four runs scored off the four deliveries bowled and then comes up a six. Kane is the man. Flat, middle line and he powers it over the midwicket region to get a six and then again. What an over for Hyderabad! 16 off the over. Strategic time-out.

Over 6 | Score 39/1 | Kane 12 (14) ; Dhawan 22 (16)

Fifth ball, middle line, shorter one and Warner...gets the leading edge and arcs high over square-leg, Mishra makes no mistake as Delhi gets a huge early wicket. Unexpected indeed! But massive, massive blow for the Sunrisers.

DA Warner c Mishra b Morris 4 (7b)

Over 1 | Score 10/0 | Warner 3 (4) ; Dhawan 6 (3)

An entertaining match tonight as two formidable sides gear up to continue with their dominance in this year's league. The openers- Warner and Dhawan are out, walking towards the pitch as Jayant Yadav is all set to start off with the attack. Yadav first game this season. Warner sure knows his tricks, having faced him in the recent Test series.

First ball, to Warner and it is a NO BALL. FREE HIT, Dhawan at strike- finds the boundary, slogs it elegantly over midwicket off the outside spun delivery. Nine off the five deliveries as the last one goes for a single.

Meanwhile take a look at the PLAYERS TO LOOK AT FOR TODAY

New Delhi: With the 10th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) well into its second week, two well-balanced and high-flying sides – defending champion Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils – will go head against each other Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

There is not much to distinguish between the two sides. Starting with the points table, just a difference of a point with Delhi still having a game at hand; then talking about the batting line-up, Delhi has indeed mastered that to stand equal to Hyderabad's formidable order; and looking at bowling, well, both the teams are powerhouses.

Sunrisers will definitely hold the upper hand as they head to the match, given their thrilling last over victory over Kings XI Punjab at home which, of course, ended their misery of a two-match losing streak.

As far as changes are concerned, not much is expected from the team with a bowling unit – which includes the likes of Ashish Nehra, Mustafizur Rahman, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and then the Afghan duo of Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi – they are rest assured to stay at a comfort zone tonight.

Stemming from the criticisms of their poor batting order, Delhi has indeed risen like Daredevils two thump two big victories after the opening tumble. With the experienced Zaheer Khan leading the bowling line-up, followed by pacer Pat Cummins and Chris Morris, along with economical Nadeem and leggie Amit Mishra, SRH batsmen have a big challenge.

For the visiting team, Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Matthews is likely retain his place. He came in for injured Corey Anderson in a pound-to-pound replacement in the last match. But, if the Kiwi is fit, he should return, at the expense of Matthews.
