IPL 10: Ben Stokes reveals what makes Indian Premier League so important for international cricketers

New Delhi: England all-rounder Ben Stokes has revealed the importance of Indian Premier League (IPL) during the launch of Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) in New Delhi yesterday.

Stokes said that the level of competition in IPL and the Big Bash League of Australia is of the highest quality.

“The exposure you get in the competitions like these (BBL and IPL), you don’t get in England. You get to play and share dressing room with the best players in the world, which is missing there,” Stokes said.

Considered as one of the most hottest players, Stokes will share dressing room with legendary Mahendra Singh Dhoni and imperious Aussie captain Steve Smith. Spin ace Ravichandran Ashwin and India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane are also the Pune stable.

And as expected the cash-rich Twenty20 tournament will witness the biggest names in world cricket, except those from Pakistan, fighting out for their respective franchises in a sporting carnival.

The 25-year-old was roped in for a whopping Rs 14.50 crore by the Sanjiv Goenka-owned franchise.

The 2017 edition of world's premier cricket league will start on April 5.
