KL Rahul continued his imperious run against England as he completed his sixth Test ton in the ongoing contest of the five-match series in Lord's on Thursday. The right-handed batsman, who was roped into the side in the absence of Shubman Gill and Mayank Agarwal, has been enjoying supreme form and scored a brilliant 84 in the series opener in Nottingham.
Rahul kicked off the proceedings on Thursday with senior partner Rohit Sharma and took 202 balls to reach the feat. Meanwhile, riding on Rahul's innings, India are currently placed in the driving seat with 245/2 on the board.

Rohit did much of the scoring in the initial phase and also went on to complete his half-century, while Rahul played the perfect second-fiddle in the middle, as the pair guided India past the 100-run-mark. The duo added 126 runs for the opening wicket, before James Anderson clean bowled Rohit with on 83 from 115 deliveries.
Rahul, on the other hand, carried forward his supreme form as the batsman scored yet another half-century as Anderson removed Cheteshwar Pujara on 9.
India were batting at 157/2 with Rahul and Virat Kohli present in the middle as umpires called for Tea. After the interval both Kohli and Rahul continued from where they left and added a healthy partnership for the third-wicket.

Rahul reached the three-figure mark with a boundary off Mark Wood's delivery.
With this feat, the right-handed batsman now stands second alongside legendary opener Virender Sehwag for scoring the most 100s by an Indian opener in Tests outside Asia.
