GENIUS! Inspired by Dev Jhajharia's gold, Virender Sehwag coins new term for Paralympics

New Delhi: Thanks to paralympian Devendra Jhajharia, Indians were treated to some excellent early morning news this Wednesday.

The javelin thrower became the first Indian to win two gold medals at the Paralympics after he shattered his own world record to bag the top honours at the Rio Games.

Apart from giving boundless joy to his countrymen, Dev appears to have also inspired Virender Sehwag.

After India's second gold medal at the ongoing Paralympics, the former opener termed the Games 'pyaara-lympics'.

Viru also used this opportunity to heap praise on Jhajharia.

Devendra, whose previous best was 62.15 metres (achieved in the 2004 Games), improved the mark with an attempt of 63.97 metres at the Olympic Stadium (Engenhao).

India now have two gold, one silver and one bronze in the ongoing edition of the Games.

Thangavelu Mariyappan (gold), Varun Bhati (bronze) and Deepa Malik (silver) are the other Indian medalists from the ongoing Games.
