New Delhi: India registered their best ever winnings streaks in both Tests and ODIs this month after defeating Sri Lanka 1-0 and 2-1 respectively.
Virat Kohli led India to a ninth straight Test series win, then his stand-in Rohit Sharma continued to good work, winning their eighth successive ODI bilateral series. Both the feats were achieved against the Lanka, currently visiting India.
TEST
With ninth successive Test series win, India shared the record for most such wins with England (1884-1892) and Australia (2005-2008).

India's eight straight bilateral series win if far behind the 14 achieved by the Windies between 1980 and 1988. But this number is nonetheless the best for India.

India's next Test and ODI assignments will be against the Proteas in South Africa. Before that, they will play a three-match T20I series against the Lankans. In T20Is, India's longest series winning streak is three - against Zimbabwe in 2010, South Africa in 2010 and against the Windies in 2011.
