I-T dept conducts raids on Amrapali group for tax evasion

The income tax department has conducted raids on a leading real estate firm Amrapali Group for suspected tax evasions and black money circulation.

New Delhi: The income tax department has conducted raids on a leading real estate firm Amrapali Group for suspected tax evasions and black money circulation.

Reportedly, raids were conducted at the group’s offices based in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Faridabad.

Raids were conducted after the department got a tipoff about the group having allegedly circulated black money through various means and a massive tax evasion.

The company is closely associated with India’s cricket captain MS Dhoni, who is also the brand ambassador for the firm. While, Dhoni’s his wife Sakshi holds 25% stake in one of the joint ventures of the group.

According to reports, the company has denied all allegations of wrongdoing. Amrapali Group is a big player in the Indian real estate market with residential and commercial buildings in Delhi NCR.
