ZTE's Nubia smartphone to be launched today

ZTE, which is set to launch its Nubia smartphone brand with a new flagship device, the Nubia Z9, with its exclusive online e-tailer Amazon.

New Delhi: Indian smartphone market is inundated with chinese smartphone makers. The growing success of the chinese brands like Xioami in India has ushered new players in the market.

The latest company to do so is ZTE, which is set to launch its Nubia smartphone brand with a new flagship device, the Nubia Z9, with its exclusive online e-tailer Amazon.

The nubia Z9 boasts of a 5.2-inch borderless screen offering HD resolution with aRC technology. It features a design that makes it more ergonomic and easy to hold. As the phone is bezel-free, it makes use of the Frame interactive Technology (FiT) that allows users to control the phone by touching just the edge of the screen.

The phone includes a 16 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and an 8 megapixel front-facing camera, a Snapdragon 810 chipset, and a 2,900mAh battery.

The nubia Z9 comes in three variants: Classic, with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage for $564; Elite, with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage for $645; and Exclusive version with additional fingerprint sensor for $725.

The handsets run on Nubia UI 3.0 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
