New Delhi: Yahoo's Livetext was launched in selective markets last month but now, Yahoo Inc has made the app available globally.
Livetext is an audio-free live video application that is comparable to Snapchat and FaceTime except for its lack of sound.
It offers a unique feature to traditional messaging app setup by combining texting with sound-free video chats.
The app works by showing a video of the person that you're chatting with, in the same way as with a Facetime or Skype call. But instead of talking to them, the app pops up a chat box where users can send messages or emoji.
Livetext is available for Android and iOS and is free to download.
