Sony on Wednesday inflated its annual loss forecast more than four-fold to $2.14 billion, saying it would book a huge charge tied to its mobile phone business.

The Japanese electronics giant said it now expected to lose 230 billion yen in the fiscal year to March 2015, up from a previous net loss forecast of 50 billion yen.
