New Delhi: Online retailers Snapdeal and Amazon are back with their huge discount offers. Both Snapdeal and Amazon have displayed front page advertisements in leading newspapers, announcing their huge saving offers on Tuesday.
'SnapdealSavingsDay' started at 7am today covering various products on offer. The products range from electronic items to gadgets, apparels, footwears and kitchen items.
While Amazon has announced 'Appiness Day' asking cusomers to download and shop using Amazon mobile app. The company has also promised Rs 111 freecharge voucher with every download. The Amazon offer also started at 7 am today with various gadgets, living room and Kitchen items on offer.
The online retail market is projected to grow at a compound annual rate of 40-45 percent during 2014-18, it added.
Indian online retail market is estimated to grow over 4-fold to touch USD 14.5 billion (over Rs 88,000 crore) by 2018 on account of rapid expansion of e-commerce in the country.
The current market size of online retail sector has been pegged at USD 3.5 billion (over Rs 21,000 crore), a report by research and consultancy firm RNCOS has recently said.
