Now, receive direct messages from anyone on Twitter

New Delhi: Now, one can receive direct messages from anyone on Twitter regardless of whether one follows or not.

This system was introduced earlier in 2013. However, it was limited to a small group of users.

However, the 140-character social networking site has announced that one can receive a direct message from anyone regardless of follows.

To activate the function, simply uncheck the "Receive direct messages" box on your "Security and privacy" page and then it's done.

Earlier, one could receive messages only from those that was following you.

This new feature will help brands and advertisers reach out to audiences.
