Beijing : The Chinese military has released its first video game to help train soldiers, a media report said Tuesday.

Glorious Mission was developed by the People`s Liberation Army and Wuxi Giant Interactive Group and it took them 32 months to complete.

Experts described it as "a breakthrough in military games and a pioneering work of the cyber-game industry", the China Daily cited China News Service as reporting.

It is based on military life with realistic looking uniforms, weapons and kit. In the game, players fight alone or in teams for completion of the task.
