Beats Music to shut on November 30

The shutdown comes little over a year since Beats' acquisition by Apple

Apple has announced that Beats Music will close on November 30, and all subscriptions will be canceled.

With the launch of Apple's new streaming service, Beats Music is being closed down and subscriptions canceled. Users, however, can move their playlists and preferences over to Apple Music. The new music service, unveiled in June, and released on Android earlier in November, costs  US$10 a month, with a family option (less than six people) at $15 per month, although rates vary in some countries. The first three trial months are offered for free.

The shutdown comes little over a year since Beats' acquisition by Apple, and only five months after the release of Apple Music.
