New Delhi: A new bug created by two researchers are exposing the vulnerability of Apple's Mac which could not be as safe as was being thought.

The worm Thunderstrike 2 could enable a firmware attack go undetected on MacBooks and spread fast.

It is very difficult to detect the bug because it never touches system files or the OS. The bug could spread through phishing email or by connecting a device, for example, an adapter that runs through your computer.

Meanwhile the bug can spread to other Macs too if you are using the same worm infested peripheral device.
