Melbourne: A new mobile phone application has been launched to help lovelorn singles track down attractive strangers.

The ‘Regarded’ iPhone app and its corresponding website were launched on 22nd December and connect social reality with virtual reality, the Courier Mail reported.

The app users can log in and post where they were and who they saw when they spotted a person who took their fancy.

From there, users are able to interact with their admirers and hope that romance follows.

Sydney primary school teacher Gavin McCormack is the aptitude behind the app and is bringing it to Brisbane from 22nd January.
