A day after HCL Technologies signed a deal with Manchester United, India's leading IT service provider Wipro Ltd on Thursday signed a deal with another Premier League club Chelsea FC for digital media strategy.

New Delhi: A day after HCL Technologies signed a deal with Manchester United, India's leading IT service provider Wipro Ltd on Thursday signed a deal with another Premier League club Chelsea FC for digital media strategy.

Chelsea FC are the defending Premier League Champions and the deal is seen as a move that will help the club's fan engagement in the game while also increasing its fan base in India.

The deal could also help the club build on its popularity in India, where we have over 50 million passionate supporters and where there is great potential to further our fan base, Chelsea Managing director Christian Purslow said.

No financial details of the deal were reveal.

A day earlier on Wednesday, HCL Technologies signed a partnership deal with English Premier League club Manchester United for the club's new digital media strategy.

HCL Technologies will help design the club's website and app that will help better engaging with its fans.
