Hong Kong stocks stumbled in the morning session Friday, in line with a regional sell-off following losses on Wall Street while traders await the release of key US jobs data later in the day.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.88 percent, or 242.21 points, to 27,309.68 by the break on turnover of HK$81.88 billion ($10.57 billion).
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.12 percent, or 6.09 points, to 4,941.01.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China`s second exchange, eased 0.06 percent, or 1.78 points, to 3,021.92.
