Eleven countries including Australia, Canada and South Africa have consented to take part in the Global Investors' Summit to be held here from October 8 to October 10, it was announced here on Monday.

Indore: Eleven countries including Australia, Canada and South Africa have consented to take part in the Global Investors' Summit to be held here from October 8 to October 10, it was announced here on Monday.

"In the Global Investors' Summit delegates from eleven countries including Australia, Canada, South Africa, Mexico, Austria and France have given their consent," Madhya Pradesh Commerce and Industries Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia told reporters.

Noted industrialists like Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Gautam Adani, among others have also given their initial consent to participate in the summit.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would request Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the summit, she said.

Scindia said that during the summit, investors would be attracted to invest in eight areas including food processing, agriculture, textile, tourism and automobiles.

She said that this time the government has decided to ink Expression of Interest (EOI) instead of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the companies.

The state government has prepared a 20,000 hectare land bank in the state before the investors' summit.
