Dubai: India's fastest-growing luxury segments from different domains will organise an exclusive two-day trade show here this week, aimed at promoting the country's lesser-known 'luxury' facets in the Arab region.

The show, to be organised on December 4-5, will include travel, hospitality, wellness, healthcare, education, fashion and lifestyle portfolios to showcase the comparatively lesser- known 'luxury' facets of India among the Emiratis and Arabs.

Organised by Globuzz, a Dubai-based luxury consultant, the Royal India Luxury Show will take place at Dubai's luxury icon, Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

"The 21st century India is full of luxury experiences. India's rich history is replete with opulence and grandeur and for centuries it has been a preferred destination to revitalize and rejuvenate the body and soul. India offers a diverse portfolio of unique and memorable experiences," a statement released by the organisers here said.

"Emiratis and other Arabs have comparatively very little exposure about the India's luxury element. India offers tourists unique experiences with its natural beauty, vivid festivals, exotic beaches and architectural marvels," it said.

India's economic, trade and cultural links with the Arab world in general and the UAE in particular dated back to more than a century ago due to enhanced people-to-people contact, said India's Ambassador to the UAE T P Seetharam.

"The Arab world constitutes an integral part of India's extended neighborhood and is a region of critical importance in political, strategic, security and economic terms," Seetharam said.

"I believe such a show endorses our vision to showcase India as a world-class platform in areas of tourism, travel, hospitality, technology, healthcare, wellness and education. There is a great scope for promoting Indian luxury portfolio in the Arab region through the UAE market," he said.

Seetharam expressed hope that the show will create conducive environment and further enhance the luxury offering from India at a global marketplace.

"The decision of Government of India to relax visa rules for nationals of various countries is expected to give a boost to the number of visitors to India and luxury is one of the domains that will benefit from the new decision," he said.

He said the UAE-India bilateral trade accounts for over USD 65 billion and the UAE offers immense growth opportunities for Indian businesses which needs to be channelized and tapped by the luxury market players.
