WDM witnesses trade worth Rs 3,528.29 crore on NSE

Mumbai: The Wholesale Debt Market segment of the National Stock Exchange today witnessed a total turnover of Rs 3,528.29 crore in 70 trades.

The 8.60 percent government securities maturing in CG2028 traded value at Rs.675.00 crore at weighted yield the 7.76 percent, the 364-days Treasury bills (issue No.251215) traded at Rs.525.00 crore at weighted yield of 8.00 percent and the 8.40 percent government securities maturing in CG2024 traded value at Rs.500.00 crore at weighted yield the 7.75 percent.

During the week ended today, the total turnover was Rs 14,217.70 crore and the total number of trades during the week was at 366.

The highest volume amount of trade during the week was at Rs 4,042.35 crore as on Mar 19, while the lowest volume amount Rs 985.45 crore as on Mar 16.

This week, the weighted yield on government securities with a maturity period of 0-3 years, 3-7 years, 7-10 years and more than 10 years was quoted at 7.84 percent, 7.84 percent, 7.79 percent and 7.81 percent, respectively.

The weighted yields on treasury bills maturing within 90 days was 8.16 percent, it was 8.19 percent for bills of 91-182 days tenure, and 7.98 percent for bills of 183-365 days' tenure.

During the week, the cumulative value of government securities, treasury bills and state government securities trading on the WDM was Rs 11,208.65 crore, trading in Non Government securities was at Rs 3,009.05 crore, representing 78.84 percent and 21.16 percent of the total traded value, respectively, the NSE release said.
