Rupee down 2 paise at 60.12 against US dollar in early trade

Mumbai: The rupee weakened by two paise to 60.12 against the US dollar in early trade on Monday at the Interbank Foreign Exchange on increased demand for the American currency from importers.

The rupee had edged up by two paise to end at 60.10 against the American currency in Friday's trade on dollar selling by exporters.

Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex was up 55.08 points, or 0.21 percent, at 26,181.83 in early trade on Monday.
