Mumbai: Shares of Reliance Industries climbed 3 percent on Wednesday, its fourth straight session of gains, on continued optimism over the company's plans to start 4G phone services later this year.

RIL's scrip ended with a gain of 3 percent at Rs 931.10 on BSE. During the day, it jumped 4 percent to Rs 940.40.

At the NSE, the stock settled at Rs 931.20, a gain of 3 percent from its previous closing price.

In four days, the stock has gained over 6 percent.

On the volume front, 8.70 lakh shares of the company changed hands and over 59 lakh shares were traded at the NSE during the day.

Reliance Industries (RIL) will start commercial operations of its much-awaited telecom services in December, offering a 4G smartphone for as low as Rs 4,000 and a monthly bill of Rs 300-500.

In the broader market, BSE Sensex ended at 26,832.66, up 146.15 points.
