New Delhi: Bank restructuring accounts can slip further, the RBI deputy governor R Gandhi said this morning, speaking at the National Institute of Securities Markets in the capital.
He added that high attrition would be the norm in banking.
Gross non-performing assets rose to 4.5 percent last year in the September quarter, compared to 4 per cent mark in the March quarter. Including the restructured assets, the total number distressed assets in the system figured at 10.7 percent in the September quarter, compared to 10 percent in the March quarter.
