The international crude oil price of the Indian basket, computed by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, rose to USD 57.91 per barrel on Wednesday, compared to USD 59.17 per barrel on the previous publishing day.
In rupee terms, the price of Indian Basket increased to Rs 3674.97 per barrel on Dec 24 as compared to Rs 3627.44 per barrel on Dec 23, an official press release said.
Meanwhile, front-month Brent crude prices were trading at USD 60.45, up 21 cents, while US WTI`s front-month contract was up 18 cents at USD 56.02 a barrel in thin trading as many countries were still on Christmas holiday.
Brent is down 1.6 percent for the week, while US crude was heading for a smaller 0.9 percent drop.
