BSE to conduct live trading from disaster recovery site

Leading bourse BSE will conduct live trading on Thursday and Friday, from its disaster recovery site in Hyderabad to check the robustness of its systems.

New Delhi: Leading bourse BSE will conduct live trading on Thursday and Friday, from its disaster recovery site in Hyderabad to check the robustness of its systems.

The exchange will hold live trading session from disaster recovery (DR) site in the currency derivatives, equity derivatives besides equity and securities lending & borrowing mechanism (SLB) segment, BSE had said in a notice on December 29 last year.

Earlier, mock trading has been conducted from this site on four last weekends to test system performance.

The exchanges are required to conduct mock as well as live trading from disaster recovery sites to check the robustness of their systems as per the Sebi guidelines.

The timing for live trading session for SLB segment is from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm, while for currency derivatives segment it is from 9 am to 5 pm.

Equity Derivatives and equity segment live trading session timing would be from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm.

The exchange would also be conducting mock trading session on Saturday for members to check the PR connectivity and facilitate smooth live trading session.
