New Delhi: The World Economic Forum (WEF) will hold its annual India meeting on November 3-4, which is expected to focus on strategic vision of the Modi-led BJP government.

The '2015 National Strategy Day on India' will explore issues like sustainable urbanisation, socio-economic mobility, environmental degradation and infrastructure deficit, while aiming to drive its global multi-stakeholder community towards impact.

According to WEF, in less than seven years, the median age of India will be 29 years with over half of them living in urban areas, which raises grave challenges on sustainable urbanisation, socio-economic mobility, environmental degradation and infrastructure deficit.

"But what it also brings is the promise of a more entrepreneurial India with greater innovation hubs, an indigenous development model and an equitable society," it added.

Further, the forum said, "...As investor confidence in the Indian economy sustains, the time is right to invest in the nation's next decade of growth and social transformation".

Earlier WEF Managing Director Philipp Rosler said that the theme of this year's annual meeting would be strategic vision of the government and action on the ground at the same time.

Besides, the summit will focus on topics like developing 100 smart cities, inclusive growth, financial inclusion, renewable energy and tax reforms.

Some 300-350 leaders from business, government, civil society, NGOs and academia will take part in the summit organised by Geneva-based WEF in partnership with industry body Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Rosler had said that WEF plans to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi and all ministers of the central government for the India summit.

The event is likely to be attended by senior officials of Infosys, Reliance Industries, Essar, Wipro, HCL Technologies, Mahindra & Mahindra, TCS and the Jubilant Group.

The last year summit saw more than 700 participants discussing 'Redefining Public-Private Cooperation for a New Beginning'.

World Economic Forum's annual global summit at Davos will be held during January 19-23 next year.
