New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday expressed confidence that trend of recovery in the Indian economy would continue and that there was no fear of monsoon affecting foodgrain production.
Addressing the media, Jaitley said for anyone to draw conclusions on the basis of monsoon
predictions on inflation is far-fetched.
We have kept inflation under control, he assured.
On the impact of deficient monsoon, the finance minister said the impact on foodgrain production may not be significant.
There is abundance of foodgrain available and we have better food management, he said.
He also informed that the government was taking steps to control the prices of pulses.
