New Delhi: The Finance Ministry on Monday launched a dedicated website for Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, government's flagship financial inclusion programme, to help people open bank accounts.

The website will also act as a tool for controllers and various stakeholders to monitor and implement the scheme in a more effective manner, Sandhu added.

It is available in English and Hindi versions.

"As on October 22, a total of 6.47 crore accounts have been opened with a deposit of Rs 4,813.59 crore," the Secretary added.
