New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday said manufacturing sector is still a challenge and we have to invent the engine of growth.
He further said GST Bill is likely to be passed in the second leg of the budget session. Parliament's budget session is currently under recess and will resume on April 20.
Investors and manufacturers have long advocated the GST as a way to simplify taxes while broadening the tax base, adding as much as 2 percentage points to economic growth in Asia`s third-largest economy.
Fiscal deficit will remain within target and current account deficit (CAD) is likely to remain below 1 percent next financial year.
Govt not unusually worried about rupee movement and wants it to reflect real value, FM added.
