New Delhi: India's exports contracted for the seventh straight month in June, government data showed on Wednesday, marking a 15.82 percent drop year-on-year because of a slump in global demand.

India's exports dipped 15.82 percent in June to USD 22.2 billion.

The trade deficit narrowed to USD 10.8 billion in June as against USD 11.7 billion in same month last year.

Imports fell 13.4 percent from a year earlier to USD 33.12 billion in June, the data showed.
