Yes Bank raises Rs 315 crore from Green Infra Bonds

This is the first investment of IFC in emerging markets green bond issue in the world, Yes Bank said in a statement.

New Delhi: Yes Bank on Wednesday said it has raised Rs 315 crore through issuance of Green Infrastructure Bonds to International Finance Corporation - a member of World Bank Group - on a private placement basis.

This is the first investment of IFC in emerging markets green bond issue in the world, Yes Bank said in a statement.

The bonds are for a tenor of 10 years, it said, adding the amount raised will be used by the bank to finance green infrastructure projects like solar power and wind power in the renewal energy space.
