UberGo to start low-fare cab services from today

New Delhi: Mobile app based for taxi sharing Uber is set to launch low cost cab services –UberGo-- for Indian market starting Thursday.

UberGo will compete with Ola Cabs, TaxiForSure, other domestic cabs and auto rickshaws as the cost of travelling will be cheap. The company said that the fare will be quite cheap and would cost almost like an auto fare.

UberGo will use hatchback cars and the customers will be charged Rs 40 as base fare with addition to Rs 11-12 per km and Rs 1 per minute, depending upon which city you are in.

UberGo service will be launched in 10 Indian cities. The Indian taxi market is estimated at $9billion.

Bangalore based Ola charges Rs 100 for the first 4-6 Kms, while TaxiForSure's new basefare is Rs 49 for 4 Kms.
