TCS wins 5-year IT services contract from Dutch insurance firm

TCS has been present in the Netherlands and Benelux region since 1992 and has continuously invested in the market locally.

New Delhi: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest software services firm, on Wednesday said it has been selected by Dutch insurance firm REAAL N V to develop and modernise mainframe applications and servicing the company's life insurance portfolio.

The five-year engagement will be focused on building a scalable and best-in-class technology platform for REAAL N V as it looks to increase agility across the business, TCS said in a statement.

"Across the insurance sector, there is a growing need to provide flexible parameters in line with business portfolio. This is a significant milestone for TCS in the Dutch life insurance market," TCS Director (Benelux) Amit Kapur said.

TCS has been present in the Netherlands and Benelux region since 1992 and has continuously invested in the market locally to deliver consistent results to its customers.

Its Benelux operations comprise over 5,000 professionals working across Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

"We are looking forward to working with TCS, which will complement our in-house business competencies to deliver a stronger, more agile IT for the business, while lowering costs," REAAL N V Director (Change and System development) Marcel van de Lustgraaf said.
