New Delhi: India's largest software exporter Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday reported a consolidated net profit rise of 45 percent to Rs 5,568 crore for the first quarter of the financial year 2014-15.
The company's overall revenue also rose by 22.9 percent to Rs 22,111 for the first quarter of FY 2014-15.
In the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year, the company's net profit rose by Rs 5,358 crore, a rise of 48.2 percent while its overall revenue during the same period rose by 31.2 percent to Rs 21,551 crore.
Earlier in June, during the company's 19th Annual General Meeting, TCS expressed confidence that the FY15 would bring greater opportunities on the back of improved economic climate in the country.
