Tata Advanced Systems' revenue estimated at Rs2.5 K cr in FY15

"Let me now turn to the consolidated statistics for the Tata group?s presence in the defence and aerospace sector. Our estimated revenue for FY15 is over Rs 2,500 crore or over USD 400 million," Rajan said at Tata Sons Media Round Table event here.

The current order book size of the Tata group in the defence and aerospace sector is in excess of Rs 10,000 crore, he added.

In FY 2013-14, over Rs 320 crore was invested in defence and aerospace sector by various Tata companies, Rajan said.

Ranjan said, "Tata Technologies is currently working with 12 of the top 15 Aerospace Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs) and over 100 companies across the global aerospace supply chain."

Talking about Tata Advanced Systems, Rajan said it has an order book of over Rs 4,500 crore signed with global OEMs and Indian customers.

Talking about TAL Manufacturing Solutions Limited, which is 100 percent Tata Motors owned company, Rajan said "by 2018, the company is looking at supplying more than 120,000 parts and assemblies to the world?s leading aircraft and engine programmes, including 787 and Rolls-Royce Trent 1,000 and Trent XWB."

Tata Power Strategic Engineering Division Chief Executive Officer Rahul Chaudhry said the company is investing Rs 500 crore in a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Vemagal, Karnataka dedicated to defence to enhance its capability and capacity to meet the growing business needs.

CEO and Managing Director of Tata Advance Systems Limited (TASL) Sukaran Singh said the company has invested over Rs 400 crore in the last five years and has set up production facilities spread over 4,50,000 sqft across India.

Tata Technologies is a pioneer in providing Engineering and IT solutions.

Rajan said the company has set a target to touch USD one billion in annual revenues from approximately USD 400 million.

"The aerospace business is growing at 20 percent annually," he added.
