State Bank of India reported Q3 profits of Rs 2,910 crores, compared to Rs. 2,234 a year earlier, marking a rise of 30.3 percent. The bank missed analysts' estimates.
Gross nonperforming loans were at 4.9 percent in the December quarter, compared to 4.9 percent in the September quarter.
SBI shares surged up percent on the results.
