Rollatainers to open 550 Barista outlets in 5 years

New Delhi: Carnation Hospitality firm Rollatainers Friday said it will open 550 outlets of its coffee chain Barista in the next 5 years.

In August this year, Rollatainers acquired Barista brand from Italy's Lavazza which exited from coffee shop business in India.

"The company has approved expansion plan of its food business which includes opening of 550 new outlets of its Barista chain in period of next 5 years," Rollatainers said in a BSE filing.

The company, however, did not disclose investments required in opening new outlets.

Lavazza, which had bought the caf? brand Barista in 2007, sold Barista with over 190 outlets. Lavazza continues to supply coffee to Barista through a long-term supply agreement.
